How listing works on QwikStone
Everything a listing needs — and what happens after a buyer orders.
- List exactly what is in your yard — the broker checks count, size, thickness and finish before the buyer pays the balance.
- Prices are fixed per sq ft (or per unit for machinery); buyers pay 50% to reserve the exact slabs or boxes.
- Good photos and complete specs win the search: listings are ranked by relevance, delivery time to the buyer, quality score and price.
1. Before you list
You need a verified Seller Hub account (documents cleared during onboarding). Your plan decides how many live listings you can have and which markets see them: Local plans sell in your own country; International, Premium and Machinery sell in all six markets.
2. One listing = one lot
A lot is stock from the same block (stone) or the same shade & batch (tiles). Never mix blocks in one listing — buyers order a lot expecting every slab to match the photos.
| Field | What to enter | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Stone name + material + thickness + finish, e.g. “Makrana White Marble 1.8 cm Polished” | Search matches the title first. No brand names you don't own (see Brand Shield). |
| Material & colour | Choose from the list (marble, granite, quartzite, porcelain tiles…) | Powers the filters and “similar stone” recommendations. |
| Slab size / tile size | Average L × W in cm for slabs; exact size for tiles | The broker measures 3 points per slab; ±2 cm is accepted on gangsaw slabs. |
| Thickness | 18, 20, 30 mm… / tile thickness | Tolerance ±1 mm — the most common discrepancy. |
| Slabs / boxes & sq ft | Count actually in the yard; sq ft is calculated | Reserved stock can't be sold twice. Over-listing becomes a discrepancy. |
| Price & MOQ | Price per sq ft in your currency; minimum order in sq ft | Buyers see it converted to their currency. See Pricing. |
| Status | In stock, in transit or at port (with vessel & ETA) | In-transit lots can accept bids. |
| Photos | Full slab in daylight, close-up, book-match pair, thickness | See the Photo guide. |
| Cut-to-size | Tick if you or a partner can fabricate | Shows the lot on cut-to-size searches and RFQs. |
3. Tiles
Enter pieces per box, sq ft per box, boxes per pallet, PEI, water absorption, slip rating, rectified edges and shade variation. Buyers always order whole boxes; the broker checks shade & batch codes on every pallet.
4. Machinery & tools
List per unit with model, specs, warranty, installation and training. Machinery sellers pay the same 3% marketplace fee on the sale price; buyers see delivery and installation lead times.
5. Bulk upload
Catalog → Bulk upload accepts a CSV with these columns:
title,stone_name,material,colour,finish,thickness_mm,slab_l_cm,slab_w_cm,slabs,price,moq_sqft,origin_city,status,image_urls
Images can be URLs or uploaded afterwards. Rows with errors are listed with the reason; nothing is published until you confirm.
6. Listing quality score
| Signal | Weight |
|---|---|
| 4+ real photos incl. full slab and close-up | 30% |
| Complete specs (size, thickness, finish, count, origin) | 25% |
| Broker match rate on your past orders | 25% |
| Description (quarry, block, best uses, care) | 10% |
| Price within the market range for that stone | 10% |
7. What happens when someone buys
- The buyer pays a 50% deposit — the exact slabs are reserved.
- A broker inspects at your yard within 72 hours (see Orders & inspection).
- Match → buyer pays the balance → you load. Difference → you offer an adjustment or the buyer takes a refund.
- The deposit is released to you at loading, the balance when the container leaves.
8. Not allowed
- Catalogue or stock photos, watermarks or photos of a different block.
- Brand names you aren't authorised to use; prices below a brand's minimum.
- Phone numbers, emails or links in listings; asking buyers to deal off-platform.
- Stone from illegal quarries or without required permits.
